Bismillah Hirrehman NirRaheem!!!
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
In the name of ALLAH, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful:
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
The Golden Moments in the life of a Muslim:
ALLAH Unveils the Golden Moments:
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
“WE HAVE INDEED REVEALED THE QURAN IN THE NIGHT OF POWER:
AND WHAT WILL EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT THE NIGHT OF POWER IS!
THE NIGHT OF POWER IS BETTER THAN  A THOUSAND MONTHS.
THEREIN COME DOWN THE ANGELS AND SPIRIT BY THE PERMISSION
OF THEIR LORD (ON EVERY ERRAND):
(THE NIGHT IS FULL OF ) PEACE UNTIL THE RISE OF MORN!”
--AL-QURAN, Chapter 97.
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
The Prophet (sal-lal-laho alaihe wa sallam) said:
“ A MONTH HAS COME TO YOU IN WHICH THERE IS A NIGHT WHICH IS BETTER THAN A THOUSAND MONTHS. Whoever deprives himself of its blessings, is deprived of all blessings.
And none is deprived of the blessings of the Night of Power except the most unfortunate”.
This loving command and caution should make us become intensely serious and sincere in striving to attain the blessings of Laylatul Qadr.
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
The word Qadr means:
Worth, Position, Status, Esteem, Power, Glory, Decree, Measure, Strenth, Fate, Ability.
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
Laylatul Qadr would mean:
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
1. The Night of Worth, the Night worth spending in ibadah, the Night bringing immense worth to the worshippers.
2. The Night of Position, the Night upholding distinguished position.
3. The Night of Status, the Night bringing enviable status to the Muslims.
4. The Night of Esteem, the Night bestowing esteem upon those who care.
5. The Night of Power, the Night bestowing power upon the worshippers, the powerful night that saw the revelations of the Holy Quran, the Book that bestows power to those who value it.
6. The Night of Glory, the glorious Night that brings glosry to Muslims.
7. The Night of Decree, the Night is which destiny is re-written by Al Qadir ( the Able).
8. The Night of Strength, the Night giving strength to the worshippers.
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
Virtues of Laylatul Qadr
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
Prophet Mohammed (pbAuh) said:
Whoever stands up for the Laylatul Qadr with firmness of belief and stock taking of his deeds than all his past sins are forgiven.
Striving hard & straining ones’s nerves :
Prophet Mohammed ( sal-lal-laho-alaihe-wa-sallam) did not specify a particular nightto be Laylatul Qadr.
By saying, “Seek Laylatul Qadr among the odd nights during the last ten nights of Ramadan”, the Prophet ( sal-lal-laho-alaihe-wa-sallam) has kept it a secret.
• Herein lies a Muslim’s thrill. A sublime thrill in striving to live the nights in worship and glorification of the Lord Almighty!
• The whole concept is to nurture the fact that if one wishes to aim higher up in ranks in the world and the hereafter, such need to strive hard, by these blessed ways of worship.
• Precious things cant’ be attained just by casual means, one has to strive and struggle, hard for them.
• By supplicating to Allah, in the night of Laylatul Qadr one must pray:
“ALLAH-HUMMA-INNAKA-AFFU-UN, TUHIB-BUL-AFWA, FAFU ANNI”
“O ALLAH! YOU ARE FORGIVING, YOU LOVE TO FORGIVE, SO FORGIVE ME”.
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
LAYLAT-UL-QADR :  THE NIGHT OF DECREE:
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
Narrated “Abdullah: The Prophet said,
“Abusing a Muslim is Fusuq (an evil doing) and killing him is Kufr (disbelief).”
Narrated ‘Ubada bin As-Samit:
“Allah’s Apostle went out to inform the people abou the (date of the ) night of decree ( Al-Qadr) but there happened a quarrel between two Muslim men.  The Prophet said.
“ I came out to inform you about (the date of)
The night of Al-Qadr, but as so and so and so and so quarreled, its knowledge was taken away ( I forgot it) and maybe it was better for you.
Now look for it in the 7th, 9th and the 5th (of the last 10 nights of the Holy Month of Ramadan).” –
Bukhari (Book no. 2, Hadith no. 46.)
○•-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------•○
The Messenger of ALLAH ( peace and blessings of Allah, be upon him) said:
“WHOEVER SPENDS LAYLAT-AL-QADR IN PRAYERS OUT OF FAITH AND IN THE HOPE OF REWARD WILL BE FORGIVEN HIS, ALL HIS PREVIOUS SINS. - Hadith.

And We have built above you seven strong

And let not those who disbelieve imagine that

the rein We give them bodes good unto their

And

theirs will be a shameful doom.

- The Holy Quran; 3, 178.

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the

The Prophet’s Companions, following the example that the Prophet set for them, took care of their appearance.

Mohammed / Muhammad

the most common baby name in England / U.K. / London
Mohammed / Muhammad is the primary transliteration of the Arabic given name, مُحَمَّد‎, from the triconsonantal root of Ḥ-M-D; Praise; hence Praised, or praiseworthy,or most praiseworthy in the whole of Universe. The best or perfect of all creations of Allah the Almighty. It is the name of the prophet of Islam, Last Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him) sent for all Mankind. Throughout the Muslim world, it is popular to name a male child after him. This name and its variant transliterations are among the most popular names in the world.
According to the sixth edition of The Columbia Encyclopedia (2000), Muhammad is probably the most common given name [in the world], including variations.[2] It is estimated that more than 150 million men and boys in the world bear the name Muhammad[citation needed].
Muhammad was the most common baby boy name in England and Wales in 2009, 2011 and 2012 and the second most popular in 2007 and 2010, combining

LONDON: In a sharp jump in just one year, Muhammad has emerged as the most common first name given to baby boys born in London in 2012. The name was also second most common among new born male babies across UK and Wales the same year-Harry being the most common second year in a row.

Interestingly in 2011, Daniel and Oliver were the top two names given to new born male children in London. Muhammad (spelt this way) was ranked third (658) in London with Mohammed (spelt like this) ranked as the eight commonest name in London given to 634 male children.
Across England and Wales, Harry and Amelia were the most popular first names given to babies maintaining the top spots from 2011.

In 2011, Mohammed (with this spelling) was ranked 19th most popular baby name while Muhammad (spelt this way) was ranked 22.

Over the total of 729,674 registered births in 2012 there were more than 28,000 different boys' names and over 36,000 different girls' names.
Interestingly three different spellings of the name Muhammad are listed in the top 100 names for boys.

The most common is Muhammad, which is in 19th place on the table. Mohammed comes 26th and Mohammad is in 60th place.

Overall the name was given 7,139 times in 2012, just 29 behind Harry-which took the top spot.
Despite this variation, those in each top 10 accounted for 13% of all given names.

Britain's Office for National Statistics (ONS) released the most popular first names for babies born in England and Wales in 2012 on Monday. In particular, it examined the 100 most popular first names for boys and for girls and compared the ranks of those names with the ranks in 2011 and 2002.

Experts say Asian names have become very common in London specially because of the city's swelling migrant population. Indians have become the largest foreign-born group in London. Nearly 9% of all foreign-born residents in London are now Indian.

In sheer numbers, this means 2.63 lakh persons born in India are now living in London.

London had about 3 million foreign-born residents in 2011 (37% of the total London population and 40% of the total foreign-born population of England and Wales).

London's foreign-born population increased by 54% since 2001, accounting for 105% of the total population increase, as the UK-born population decreased in the decade.

Moreover, London concentrates a large proportion (40%) of the entire foreign-born population of England and Wales.

Between 2001 and 2011, the total resident population of England and Wales increased by 14%, by about 1 million residents.

However, the UK-born population in London actually declined, by 1% (about 50,000 residents). This means that the entire growth of the London population can be accounted for the by increase in the number of residents that had been born outside of the UK.

ONS had looked at the top five non-UK born mothers' countries by number of births (Poland, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nigeria).

SALAAH is the key to JANNAH

PRAYERS is the keys of PARADISE

○•----------------------- --------------------•○

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The key to Paradise is prayer (salat), and the key to prayer is ritual purity (tuhur).” [Ahmed]

○•------------------------------------------------------------•○

Paradise has eight doors. If you have the key to a door, you can turn the key in the lock and the door easily opens for you. The keys to Jannah have been given to you. Don't waste your time with trying wrong ones. The keys to Jannah are the obligatory five daily prayers. And purification of the body, through wudhu and ghusl, are the keys to the prayer.

Allah Most Mighty and Majestic is much more obliging than all of His creation. When you pray, you are addressing Allah (subhana wa ta'ala). So Allah definitely looks at you, listens to you, and pays full attention to you, while you pray. Be careful that you are giving Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) the kind of attention in prayer that is worthy of a Mighty and Loving King.
Allah is the ultimate source of all goodness and power. We must be careful when appearing before Him, in our dispositions.
Ka'b(R.A.) says that he saw in the Taurat that Allah Ta'ala said to Musa(a.s.): 'O Musa! For the two rakaats of Fajr prayer that Ummah of Muhammad (s.a.w) will perform, We will forgive all their sins of the whole day and night and enter them into the fort of Our security.

O Musa! For each of the four rakaats of Zuhr, which the Ummah of Muhammad performs, the reward is separate. For the first rakaat, the reward is forgiveness of sins, for the second rakaat, the reward is that his good deeds will be made heavy on the Day of Judgment, for the third rakaat, the reward is the angels making Du'a for their forgiveness and asking, My mercy for them; for the fourth rakaat, the reward is the opening of the doors of Heaven and the damsels of Paradise looking at them.

O Musa, when Our last Prophet and his Ummah will pray the four rakaats of ASR salat, there will be no angel on earth and heaven who will not pray for their forgiveness. And we will not punish thos e for whom the angels pray for forgiveness.

O Musa, when Our last Prophet's Ummah will pray the three rakats at the time of Maghirib, then the doors of the heavens will be opened, and We will fulfill whatever they will ask.

O Musa, the four rakaats of Isha are better than all the earth's kingdom and wealth. After performing this salat, they will be as purified of their sins, as a new born baby.'

"Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people." [Related by Muslim #131]

From 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radiallahu 'anhu who said that the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "No one will enter Paradise who has an atom's weight of pride in his heart." A man said, "What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look good?" He said, "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people." [Related by Muslim #131]

The phrase "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty," includes the beautiful clothing which was asked about in the same hadith. It is included by way of generalization, meaning that beauty in all things is what is meant here. In Sahih Muslim, it says, "Allah is good and only accepts that which is good." [Muslim #1686]

In Sunan at-Tirmidhi it says, "Allah loves to see the effects of His blessing on His slave.'' [#2963. At-Tirmidhi said it was hasan sahih] It was reported that Abul-Ahwas al-Jashami said the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam saw him wearing old, tattered clothes, and asked him, "Do you have any wealth?" I said, "Yes." He said, "What kind of wealth?" I said, "All that Allah has given me of camels and sheep." He said, "Then show the generous blessings that He has given you." [Sahih: Related by Ahmad #15323, at-Tirmidhi #1929 and an-Nisa'i #5128]

Allah, may He be glorified, loves the effects of His blessings to His slave to be made manifest, for this is part of the beauty that He loves, and that is part of the gratitude for His blessings which forms an inner beauty (beauty of character). Allah loves to see the external beauty of His slaves which reflects His blessings on them, and the inner beauty of their gratitude to Him for those blessings. Because He loves beauty, He sends down on His slaves clothes and adornments with which they may make their outward appearance beautiful and He gives them taqwa which makes their inner characters beautiful. Allah says:

"O Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover yourselves (screen your private parts, etc.) and as an adornment, and the raiment of righteousness, that is better." [Al-Qur'an 7:26]

And He says, speaking of the people of Paradise:

" … and He gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy. And their recompense shall be Paradise and silken garments, because they were patient." [Al-Qur'an 76:11-12]

Their faces will be made beautiful with the nadrah (light of beauty), their innermost being with joy and their bodies with silken garments. Just as Allah loves beauty in words, deeds, garments and outward appearance, so He hates ugliness in words, deeds, garments and outward appearance. He hates ugliness and its people, and loves beauty and its people. But two groups are misguided with regard to this issue: a group who say that everything that He has created is beautiful, so He loves all that He has created and we should love all that He has created and not hate anything. They say: whoever realizes that all that exists comes from Him will see that it is beautiful … these people have no sense of jealousy for the sake of Allah or hatred and enmity for the sake of Allah, or denouncing what is evil (munkar), or jihad (struggle) for the sake of Allah, or adhering His limits. They regard the beauty of images, male or female, as being part of the beauty that Allah loves, and seek to worship Allah through immoral acts. Some of them may even go so far as to claim that the One Whom they worship is manifested or incarnated in those images.

The second group, on the other hand, say that Allah condemns the beauty of images, forms and outward appearances. Allah says about the munafiqun (hypocrites):

"And when you look at them, their bodies please you … " [Al-Qur'an 63:4]

"And how many a generation have We destroyed before them. Who were better in wealth, goods and outward appearance?" [Al-Qur'an 19:54]

In Sahih Muslim it is reported that the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "Allah does not look at your outward appearance and your wealth, rather He looks at your hearts and deeds." [Related by Muslim #1356]

According to another hadith, "Shabbiness is part of faith." [Sahih: Related by Ibn Majah #4108, Abu Dawud #3630] Allah condemns those who are extravagant, which applies to extravagance in clothing as well as in food and drink.

In order to settle this dispute, we may say that beauty in clothing and outward appearance is of three types, one of which is commendable, one is blameworthy and one of which is neither. The kind of beauty which is to be commended is that which is done for the sake of Allah, to help one to obey Allah and fulfill His commands, such as when the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam made himself look beautiful (i.e. handsome) when meeting the delegations that came to him. This is like wearing armour or battle-dress when fighting, or wearing silk and showing off (in front of the enemy). This is commendable because it is done to make the word of Allah supreme and to support His religion and annoy His enemies. The blameworthy kind of beauty is that which is done for the sake of this world, for reasons of power, false pride and showing off, or to fulfill some (selfish) desires. This also includes cases where beauty is an end in itself for a person and is all he cares about. Many people have no other concern in life. As for the kind of beauty which is neither commendable nor blameworthy, it is that which has nothing to do with either of the two purposes mentioned above (i.e., it is neither for the sake of Allah nor for the sake of worldly purposes).

The hadith under discussion refers to two important principles, knowledge and behaviour. Allah is to be acknowledged for beauty that bears no resemblance to anything else, and He is to be worshipped by means of the beauty which He loves in words, deeds and attitudes. He loves His slaves to beautify their tongues with the truth, to beautify their hearts with sincere devotion (ikhlas), love, repentance and trust in Him, to beautify their faculties with obedience, and to beautify their bodies by showing His blessings upon them in their clothing and by keeping them pure and free of any filth, dirt or impurity, by removing the hairs which should be removed, by circumcision, and by clipping the nails. Thus they recognize Allah through these qualities of beauty and seek to draw close to Him through beautiful words, deeds and attitudes. They acknowledge Him for the beauty which is His attribute and they worship Him through the beauty which He has prescribed and His religion. The hadeeth combines these two principles of knowledge and behaviour.

HAPPY WORLD : We all wish to achieve!!!
♥*☆*♥  ♥*☆*♥♥*☆*♥  ♥*☆*♥♥*☆*♥  ♥*☆*♥♥*☆*♥  ♥*☆*♥

Plato’s Socrates famously says that the good person cannot be harmed, that virtue is knowledge, and that happiness consists entirely of doing well and being just. Aristotle argues that a degree of luck plays into our happiness. He insists that most of our happiness is in our own hands, but that it can be affected by outside circumstances. So while being happy is mostly a matter of ‘doing well’ (and ‘thinking well’), great misfortunes can damage our happiness. It may be that such a person, by ‘doing well,’ will attain a degree of dignity in suffering, but he will not be happy; or, as Aristotle has it, ‘blessed.’

So the relation between living a good life and being happy is our prime concerns.  To many, the good life is a financially prosperous life, and happiness lies in the possession of wealth. Worldly success is what counts, and anyone who is not ‘successful’ in the usual sense is counted a ‘failure.’ Others strive for a life based on honor and public recognition. A good life is made up of hobnobbing with the right people in the right settings, and happiness is a matter of gaining respect. Along with these, there are lives that show by their living a desire for glory or power that inspires great efforts. Others, who are not drawn to wealth, power or glory because of the difficulties involved in attaining them, may choose the pursuit of pleasure. A good and happy life is one in which pleasures outweigh the pains overall. Many questions have been asked about the good life and happiness. People constantly answer those questions with their lives, and we see many different ideas of the good life and happiness playing out in the strivings of human beings to live well and be happy.

The ancient Greeks wished their friends to ‘do well’ and ‘fare well’ in this life. These two, they thought, held the keys to human felicity. Doing well concerns ourselves, our own actions and feelings. We have some control over these aspects of our lives. So when we wish someone to ‘do well’ in life, we express the hope that the person will be moral and fair in his or her dealings with others. Beyond securing basic physical survival, someone who does well in life can sleep with a clear conscience, whether blessed with material success or not. From many a philosophical point of view, the good life has an intrinsically moral core that involves compassion for the suffering of others and acting justly in the world.

‘Faring well’ concerns events and occurrences over which we do not have so much control. “Faring well” means succeeding in life, coming into a prosperous condition, with all the benefits that come with money and social acceptance. Someone who is faring well in life has had a bit of good luck. It is possible to do everything right in order to succeed, but still fail to do so. For example, you can study hard for your degree, get your professional qualifications, work diligently, become competent, but still not succeed. The cards may not fall your way. As Sartre says, “You are free to try, but not to succeed.”

 Happiness is a state of mind.

 The difference between who you are and who you want to be, is what you do.

 If you want your life to change, your choices and actions must change.  Every day brings a chance to start over.

 Good things don’t come to those who wait.  Good things come to those who pursue the goals and dreams they believe in.

 Don’t make a decision based solely on popularity. Just because other people are doing it doesn’t mean it’s the best choice for you.

 Following all the rules leaves a completed checklist.  Following your heart achieves a completed you.

 Knowing yourself is one thing, but truly believing and living as yourself is another.  With so much social conditioning in our society, we sometimes forget who we are.  Don’t lose yourself out there.

 Of all the things that can be stolen from you – your possessions, your youth, your health, your words, your rights – what no one can ever take from you is your freedom to choose what you will believe in, and who and what your heart will love.

 When you find yourself cocooned in isolation and despair and cannot find your way out of the darkness, remember that this is similar to the place where caterpillars go to grow their wings.

 Take all the time you need to heal emotionally.  Moving on doesn’t take a day; it takes lots of little steps to be able to break free of your broken self.

 When you can forgive, yourself and others, and stop the imprisonment, you’re creating the love of your life.
 What you believe has more power than what you dream or wish or hope for.  You become what you believe.
 Keep your heart open to dreams.  For as long as there’s a dream, there is hope, and as long as there is hope, there is joy in living.
 When you try to control everything, you enjoy nothing.  Sometimes you just need to relax, breathe, let go, and just live in the moment.
 Even though you cannot control everything that happens, you can control your attitude toward what happens.  And in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.
 Life will never be perfect, no matter how hard you try.  Even if you pour your heart and soul into it, you will never have that perfection you seek.  There will always be broken hearts, there will always be days where nothing goes right.  But you must accept and learn that even the most imperfect things will always be made better with love and laughter.
 Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.
 Satisfaction is not always the fulfillment of what you want; it is the realization of how blessed you are for what you have.
 Sometimes you just have to look back at your past and smile about how far you’ve come.
 Just because it didn’t last forever, doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth your while.
 It’s not that everything will be easy or exactly as you had expected, but you must just choose to be grateful for all that you have, and happy that you got a chance to live this life, no matter how it turns out.

 Smile every chance you get.  Not because life has been easy, perfect, or exactly as you had anticipated, but because you choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things you do have and all the problems you know you don’t have.

 Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.

 Tell the negativity committee that meets inside your head to sit down and shut up. (Optimism)

 A bad attitude is like a flat tire, you can’t get very far until you change it.

 In a world where you can be anything you want, BE YOURSELF.

 The more you love your decisions, the less you need others to love them.

 It’s important to make someone happy, and it’s important to start with yourself.

 Life is not about making others happy.  Life is about sharing your happiness with others.

 Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is somethingyou design into the present.

 If you settle for just anything, you’ll never know what you’re truly worthy of.

 Sometimes life gives you two options: losing yourself or losing someone else.  Regardless of the situation, don’t lose yourself.

 If your happiness depends on what somebody else does, you do
 have a pretty big problem.

 Whatever someone did to you in the past has no power over the present.  Only you give it power.

 Don’t worry too much about people who don’t worry about you.

 Know your worth!  When you give yourself to someone who doesn’t respect you, you surrender pieces of your soul that you’ll never get back.

 Sometimes you’ve got to emotionally let go of the things that once meant a lot to you, so you can move beyond the past and the pains they bring you, and open the next chapter in your life.

 If you want to get over a problem, stop mulling it over and talking about it.  Your mind affects your mouth, and your mouth affects your mind.  It’s nearly impossible to move beyond something when you’re obsessing over it.

 If it is detrimental to you emotionally, physically and spiritually, what choice do you have but to let go and flourish with self-respect.

 Saying goodbye is one of the most painful ways to solve a problem.  But sometimes it’s necessary.

 Moving on doesn’t mean forgetting, it means you choose happiness over hurt.

 Stop looking at what you have lost, so you can see what you have.

 Someone else is happy with far less than what you have.

 Talk about your blessings more than you talk about your problems.

 Sometimes people throw away something good for something better, only to find out later that good was actually good enough and better never even came close.

 In life, you get what you put in.  Everything comes back around.

 You can never change the past nor control the future, but you can change the mood of the day by touching someone’s heart with your smile.

 The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you give.

 Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.

 It’s nice to have money and the things that money can buy, but it’s also important to make sure you haven’t lost track of the things that money can’t buy.

 You don’t need a lot of money to lead a rich life.  Good friends and a loving family are worth their weight in gold.

 You will never fully believe in yourself if you keep comparing yourself to everyone else.  Instead, compare yourself to who you were yesterday. (Read Authentic Happiness .)

 You won’t always be punished FOR your anger, but you will always be punished BY your anger.

 Give yourself permission to immediately walk away from anything that gives you bad vibes.  There is no need to explain or make sense of it.  Just trust what you feel.

 One of the greatest freedoms is truly not caring what everyone else thinks of you.

 As long as you are worried about what others think of you, you are owned by them.  Only when you require no approval from outside yourself can you own yourself.

 Don’t let anyone walk through your mind with their dirty feet.

 It hurts the most when you start pretending it doesn’t.

 You are responsible for how you feel no matter what someone does to you. Remember, you are always in control of your thoughts so choose to feel confident and adequate rather than angry and insecure.

 Being kind to yourself in thoughts, words and actions is as important as being kind to others.

 Death is not the greatest loss in life; the greatest loss is what dies inside while you’re still alive.

 Only when we begin to be awake do we realize just how asleep we have been.

 You are always free  to do something that makes you smile.

 You define your own life.  Don’t let other people write your life’s story for you.

 Don’t be afraid of change.  Oftentimes you will lose something good, and then gain something even better.

 Worry is a massive waste of time and energy.  It doesn’t change anything.  All it does is steal your joy and hinder your ability to make positive changes.

 If you want to be happy and bright, let go of your need to always be right.

 In life, you usually get what you ask for and it rarely comes in the package you think it’s supposed to come in.

 If you don’t like something, change it.  If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.

 Life does NOT have to be perfect to be wonderful.

 You look the best when you wear your smile.  There is no beauty like the one that comes from inside you.

 Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness.

 The time spent on hating is the time lost for living a peaceful, happy life.  It is a habit that controls what you see, what you say, what you do, and ultimately what you become.

 Sometimes you need to be alone to reflect on life.  Take time out to take care of yourself.  You deserve it.

 The good things we build end up building us.

 You cannot change what you refuse to confront.

AsSalaāmu `Alaikum WaRahmatullāhi WaBarakatuh,

The Glorious Qur’ān is the word of our One and Only Allah, The Almighty; worthy of worship. The very intellect which enables us to listen and comprehend the Qur’ān as a form of speech is but one bounty of Allah bestowed upon us.
♥*
*♥Alhumdulillah♥**♥

Whenever any verse of the Qur’ān is recited or listened to, concientise oneself that this is the speech of Allah. If one brings this consciousness within oneself, then one will show respect and reverence to the Qurān.

Consider the importance of listening to the Qur’ān from the following. The first word revealed to our beloved prophet Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam was “Iqrā’', which means “To read”. The very first revelation “Iqrā’' illustrates the importance of reading the Qur’ān. However, the command to read was preceded by Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam listening to Jibraīl alayhi salām saying “Iqra’ ”. Hence, listening to the Quran is equally important to reciting the Qur’ān.

Imam Ahmad rehmatullah alayh reports a hadīth on authority of Sayiduna Abu Huraira radiallah anhu that Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam said,

Whosoever attentively listens to an Ayah from the book of Allah High and Mighty, then a multiple reward is written in his account, and one who recites it, then he shall have a Nūr (light) on the day of reckoning. (Masnad Ahmad Vol. 14 Pg. 191)[1]

Allah says in the Qur’ān,

And when the Qur’ān is recited, then listen attentively to it and remain quiet… (Qur’ān Surah Al-arāf, v. 204)

In this verse, two primary etiquettes have been assigned to listening of Qur’ān.

1. Istimā - To intentionally listen with attention and consideration[2]

2. To remain quiet. This instruction would require that one leaves all futile activities and remain quiet in order to pay attention to what is being recited. [3]

If someone wishes to address us and seeks our attention, it will be rude not to listen, or to listen without paying attention and consideration to what is being said. The Qur’ān is the speech of Allah addressed to us. When the Qur’ān is being recited, it is disrespectful to ignore the Qur’ān or not pay attention to the recitation.

The Ulamā’ or Islamic Scholars tate that the listener should,

• make an effort to be in state of purity. His body should be clean from ritual impurity (i.e he should be in state of wudhu) and his clothes should be clean from any filth.[4]

• listen to Qur’ān with respect and full attention.[5]

• not engage in other futile activity that would make us unmindful of Qur’ān. (like laughing, talking etc.)[6]

• reflect upon the meaning of Qur’ān.[7]

• make sure that one does not play the Qur’ān in place where other people would disregard the recitation. It is better not to put the Qur’ān in audible voice in such areas.[8]

May Allah Ta’āla grant us the Taufīq to inculcate in us the ‘adaab ‘ or the necessary devotions, manners and etiquettes of seeking the blessings through the Holy and Glorious Qur’ān, Ameen.

Allah Ta'āla Bless us all with the Best in the world and the hereafter.
